I was recently made aware that Pantone chooses a color of the year each year, and for 2013 they chose emerald. I love all different shades of green (who doesn’t love the color of money?), but I think that emerald is one of the best. I figured I would help spread the word about this emerging color trend and show you what can be made in Photo Creations using emerald and various other shades of green.
Below is an emerald inspired unbound page that I made featuring my cat Olivia. She’s pretty cute, right? I chose different embellishments and layering papers all in the green family and added them to my left hand tool bar. The photo I took was originally black and white, but I gave it a green filter before uploading to the site. Once everything was picked out, I threw everything on the page and rearranged it until I came up with a design that I liked.
Helpful hint! Did you know that you could search by color in our Image Gallery? The next time you go to add any embellishments, papers, or frames to your tool bar take a look at the left side of the pop up window. There are different options here to help you refine your search and find what you are looking for quickly!

I love this! You are so talented:)
I love working with pantones. I seem to alway lean towards brown for the old fashion look. The green gives your photo a very soft and fresh look. Thanks for the tip!
I love how you layered the different shades of green. I would never have thought you could do so much with one color and have it turn out so interesting. Thanks for sharing your creative talents with your customers. I look forward to your next idea!!
